The start of the week was marked by a day trip on the ferry between St Mawes and Falmouth. The weather was not fully cooperating with light drizzle and dark grey skies.
We arrived and parked up just in time to catch the boat, clambering down the wet dock steps to climb aboard and find a seat out of the inclement weather.
Lots of interesting looking boats to look at in Falmouth. The ferry quickly docked and we disembarked.
An hour was spent on the high street of Falmouth, before visiting the local Weatherspoons (The Packet Station), a name apparently associated with the Post Office ‘packets’, overseas mail from time gone by.
Following that I popped into Flapjackery for a very nice Apple and Blackcurrent ice cream.
Waiting for the return ferry afforded the opportunity to snap a little of the local wildlife.
Mid-way back we crossed with the outbound ferry boat we had been on earlier.
We contemplated visiting St Mawes Castle before returning home, but we concluded we were all tired and wanted to get back.
