The week is flying by - day 4 already. A trip to another National Trust site - Cotehele, a house from the Tudor ages. On the day of visiting, much to Mother’s delight there was a ‘pick apples from the tree’ event on.

The main event - who cares about the history of the house, its all about picking apples!

A walk down the hill led to another site - an old watermill used to grinding wheat into flour, and also used as a sawmill.

Sadly a storm had wiped out the sluice system some time ago, so water no longer flows over the wheel, so we had to use our imagination.
